First Lady Rev. Mailes Lupiya
Reverend Dr. Mailes Lupiya got saved in 1986 and has since been serving God passionately. She is a seasoned gatekeeper/intercessor and has served God within the Intercession, Decoration, Evangelism, and Ushering ministries.
When Rev Dr. Mailes got married to Dr. Leonard Lupiya, she began supporting her husband in ministry as they served together in Apostolic Faith in Zambia Ndola. Having been orphaned at a very young age, Rev Dr. Mailes had developed a passion for working and helping widows and orphans to improve their lives through education and engaging in small business enterprises.
While in AFM Ndola, she started working with vulnerable women especially widows and orphaned children within the communities around the church. After some years, together with the husband, they set up a girl - child school for orphaned kids called ‘Jehovah Jireh’. It was from this passion that another ministry called ‘Mercy Works’ was born within AFM Glad Tidings. Its aims were to be a blessing to the community by supplying daily needs and this has seen hundreds of ladies and children getting food, clothing, education up to the University level. Some ladies from humble beginnings are now great businesswomen. Moreover, other ladies and orphans are now in full-time ministry serving God passionately. Mercy Works ministry is still growing in Zambia.
Now Rev Dr Mailes is a resident pastor at Leicester Restoration Centre in Leicester - Disciples Fellowship Ministries, a ministry founded by Dr Leonard Lupiya, and she is serving faithfully supporting her husband. Rev Dr. Mailes is kingdom minded and so serves not just in Disciples Fellowship Ministries but within the Body of Christ. In the United Kingdom, Rev Dr. Mailes is the visionary of Deborah – a women’s ministry within Disciples Fellowship Ministries and cherishes speaking to women about God’s Word, Prayer, Education, and Professional advancement so women can find their place in society. She loves to motivate women to find hope and receive restoration through the Lord Jesus Christ. As a minister of the gospel and a working professional, Rev Dr Mailes understands the day to day pressures women face in this fast-paced world. She, therefore, serves as an example and encourages women to have an intimate relationship with God and to align their lives with the Word of God.
Rev Dr Mailes holds membership of Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountant, an MSc.
